Abstract
Bu çalışma bilim ve teknolojinin toplumsal gelişmedeki önemine değinerek bu gelişmelerin eğitim yoluyla nasıl sağlanabileceği üzerinde durmaktadır. Aynı zamanda teknolojinin insan yaşamını nasıl etkilediği, eğitim kurumlarının içinde yaşanılan çağa nasıl uyum sağlaması gerektiği, bilim ve teknolojinin ayrılmaz ilişkisi ve teknolojinin insan yaşamındaki yerine dikkat çekilmektedir. Ayrıca Türk düşünce tarihinde yer alan önemli bilim insanlarının teknolojiye dair düşüncelerine yer verilmektedir. Bilim ve teknolojinin ekonomik, toplumsal ve uluslararası boyuttaki etkilerine değinilerek bu gelişmelerin insana ve topluma nasıl yön verdiği tartışılmıştır. Son olarak teknolojinin beraberinde getirdiği etik ve insani sorunların da göz ardı edilmemesi gerektiğine vurgu yapılmaktadır
